 In July of 1999 the CDC approved a loan in the
amount of $85,000 to Country Kitchen.
The project was the start of a new 5,600 square foot family
restaurant in Ottawa, Illinois that seats 180 customers. The facility features three separate dinning rooms, smoking and
non-smoking, and a meeting room that seats 50 people and offers a television, video cassette recorder, overhead
projector and dedicated line for computer access. The location of the facility is ideal, within a mile of five motels,
several major shopping centers and office complexes. The total project was $1,250,000 and created 60 new jobs.
